My name is Abigail Stewart, M.S.Ed., CAPE you can read the bio below to learn a little more about me:
I am originally from California but currently live and work in Upstate New York.
I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Concentration in Adapted Physical Education in 2015 and I finished my Master’s Degree in Adapted Physical Education at the College at Brockport in 2017. I completed my New York State Initial Teacher’s Certification for Physical Education K-12 in 2015. And I received my Certified Adapted Physical Educator (CAPE) in 2017.
I worked for Mary Cariola Children’s Center in Rochester as a full time adapted physical education teacher from 2016-2019. I currently work for the Penfield Central School District as an elementary adaptive physical education teacher.
Please use this site to see some samples of my work and research during my undergraduate and graduate careers and check out what I have been involved with as an APE teacher. I will be adding more technology resources as I learn about them to help other navigate this new school year we are entering.
